Kunzite

Information About Kunzite: Named for George Kunz, Kunzite was first discovered in Connecticut, but not in sufficient concentration to justify mining operations. Larger deposits were later found in California where it has been mined since its discovery there in 1902. It is also found in Madagascar and Brazil.

Kunzite is the lilac-pink variety of the gemstone spodumene.
