Information About Morganite:

Morganite is the pink variety of the beryl gemstone family.

It was named after J. P. Morgan in recognition of his generous gem and mineral contributions to the Museum of Natural History in New York.

COMMON GEM COLORS: Pink to Peach

HARDNESS ON MOH'S SCALE: 7.5 to 8

SHAPES FOR CUTTING: Suitable for most facet shapes; can be subject to internal cracking so is not usually cut to unstable shapes such as marquis or heart.
